Cafe Server

Full-time schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM.

About the role

Join The Commons in Lincoln, a premier continuing-care retirement campus of Benchmark Senior Living, as a Café Server. You’ll foster a clean, welcoming dining environment and make a daily difference in residents’ lives through friendly, personalized service and appetizing meals.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders from residents and serve meals on a timely basis that are both presentable and appetizing in appearance.
• Set up and deliver meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Handle requests from residents who require assistance with meal selection or have specific needs.
• Set up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assist in inventorying supplies.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and related Health Department regulations and guidelines for food service operations.
• Ability to serve food and beverages to residents in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Primarily a standing position; must be able to stand in one place for extended periods of time.
