Cafe Server and Barista

We are looking for support staff for a growing Cafe. You will be tasked with ensuring guests are taken care of. This position is a combination of Barista and support staff. The Support Staff will be required to run the expo window, help run food, and help with set up and close down. Support Staff must provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests. Each server’s primary objective is to show our guests such a delightful time, they will want to return again and again. By attentively engaging guests, servers are acutely aware of the guests’ needs and desires, which will be matched to our offerings.

Responsibilities

• Follow all JTR Group policies and procedures
• Run the Cafe register and coffee bar
• Ensure each plate is perfectly prepared by tracking cooking times on all orders, checking finished product for proper degree of doneness, appearance, and plate presentation
• Deliver food to the correct table, guaranteeing every Guest receives exactly what they’ve ordered, just the way they like it
• Running and Clearing of all plates in the Dining Room/Bar/Private Rooms
• Opening and closing responsibilities of the assigned area including set-up, stocking, replenishing, and daily preparation
• Able to carry trays with plates and glassware
• Has an eye for detail
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various heights
• Knowledgeable in all JTR Group products and offerings served
• Must be able obtain Tulsa County Food Handlers Permit
• All other tasks/duties assigned

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be able to communicate respectfully and honestly with others, including all staff
• Have knowledge of service, food, and beverage preferred
• Have a valid THD Food handler’s License and comply with all THD guidelines
• Have POS experience and be able to do basic math calculations
• Have the ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time, up to 6 hours

Pay

Starting Pay: $14–$17 per hour plus tips and room for advancement
