About the role
As a Café Ambassador you are the face of Capital One’s mission to change banking for good. You won’t be behind a teller line or a glass window; instead you’ll move throughout the Café, bridging the gap between digital innovation and human connection. You act as a high‑end service specialist and a guide to digital banking, building a community within a vibrant, modern hub.
Responsibilities
- Be a Natural Connector: Proactively engage with guests in a high‑energy environment that serves as both a community space and a local coffee shop. (Note: you are a banking guide, not a barista.)
- Serve as a Brand Advocate: Share the value of Capital One’s products and services through genuine conversation rather than transactions. Success is measured by the quality of the connection, not a sales quota.
- Simplify the Complex: Guide customers through our digital ecosystem, helping them master mobile tools and troubleshoot tech challenges.
- Facilitate Purposeful Impact: Host and support local events that promote financial health, acting as a brand steward within Capital One’s programs and community partnerships.
- Advocate & Problem‑Solve: Advocate for customers, resolve issues in alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements, and handle complaints or escalated situations with de‑escalation skills.
- Act as a Culture Carrier: Foster a supportive, inclusive environment where every guest feels welcome; be a team player with strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and flexibility.
- Stay Agile & Engaged: Remain active throughout the day, moving through the Café to connect with the community and support the guest experience.
Schedule
- Support surrounding cafés within a 50‑mile radius, with occasional assistance to other locations in the region.
- Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays; hours and days may change.
- Ability to adapt to business‑driven schedule adjustments with reasonable notice as required by law.
- Attendance at all required training sessions, which may occur on a schedule differing from the primary shift.
- Physical demands: lift up to 25 lb, stand and move for extended periods, maintain regular and consistent attendance.
