Café Ambassador - Westfield Southcenter
About the role
As a Café Ambassador, you are the face of Capital One’s mission to change banking for good. You’ll move throughout the Café, bridging the gap between digital innovation and human connection. In this role, you’ll act as a high-end service specialist and a guide to digital banking, building a community by bringing Capital One’s mission to life within a vibrant, modern community hub.
Responsibilities
- Be a Natural Connector: Proactively engage with guests in a high-energy environment that serves as both a community space and a local coffee shop. (Note: You are a banking guide, not a barista—you won’t be serving coffee!)
- Serve as a Brand Advocate: Share the value of Capital One’s products and services through genuine conversation rather than transactions. Success is measured by the quality of the connection, not a quota.
- Simplify the Complex: Guide customers through Capital One’s digital ecosystem, helping them master mobile tools and troubleshoot tech challenges.
- Facilitate Purposeful Impact: Host and support local events that promote financial health, acting as a brand steward within Capital One’s established programs and community partnerships.
- Advocate & Problem-Solve: Advocate for customers, resolve issues, and handle complaints or escalated situations in alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements. De-escalation may be a key part of your role.
- Act as a Culture Carrier: Foster a supportive, inclusive environment where every guest feels welcome. Be a team player with strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and flexibility to embrace change.
- Stay Agile & Engaged: Move throughout the Café to connect with the community and support the guest experience—this is not a traditional "behind-the-desk" role.
- Support surrounding Cafés as needed within a 50-mile radius, with occasional opportunities to assist other locations in the broader region.
Schedule
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with hours and days subject to change. Reasonable notice will be provided for permanent schedule changes in accordance with state and local laws.
- Must attend all required training sessions, which may occur on a schedule differing from the primary shift.
Requirements
- Lifting up to 25 pounds and moving/standing for extended periods of time.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
