Cadrex - Quality Technician II
About the Role
Cadrex is searching for a Quality Technician II to support Quality Management System (QMS) compliance activities and the development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles, and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of QMS documentation in compliance with the AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS).
- Conduct internal audits and evaluate the QMS for continuous improvement.
- Manage document control activities, including scanning and archiving of QMS, quality inspection, and production records.
- Facilitate cross-functional CAPA team projects in response to customer complaints and internal process failures.
- Coordinate and document employee training required for QMS and product/process compliance.
- Maintain the calibration program by coordinating recall and outsourced calibration of measuring equipment, and complete in-house calibration on standard gauging.
- Complete REACH, RoHS, Conflict Mineral, Country of Origin, and USMCA/NAFTA documents as requested by customers.
- Audit internal processes, including dimensional workmanship and documentation verification.
- Review supplier certifications for raw materials and outside processing, and work with suppliers to mitigate errors/corrections.
- Collect data, evaluate, and present quality metrics.
- Communicate directly with internal departments on quality matters and assist the Operations team as needed.
- Assist with incoming, in-process, and final product quality control checks.
- Under mentorship, learn to interpret drawing specifications/tolerances/Bill of Materials (BOMs), select and use inspection equipment/techniques applying GD&T principles, balloon drawings, and create PPAPs and AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience, preferably in an AS9100 CNC machining environment.
- Ability to effectively present information in small group settings.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage, and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and independently.
- Certified AS9100 Internal Auditor and/or ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Associate degree in a related field preferred.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
