Summary/Objective
The CAD Technician is capable of working within a dynamic group to meet project goals and timelines. The person in this position must be well organized, detail oriented, and have the flexibility to handle multiple project assignments. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Create/Update part and assembly CAD data using SolidWorks
- Create/Update part and assembly drawings to identify critical characteristics
- Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure parts are manufacturable
- Process change actions utilizing Enovia
- Designs and drawings must be free from errors
- Ensure changes are implemented according to customer needs
- Must be able to review customer prints and identify changes
- Determine if any new parts are required to meet customer expectations
- Work with customers to manage part proliferation
- Document and process all changes using Lippert change management processes
Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or related associates degree in engineering or specific discipline and two years’ experience
- Four years related experience and/or training specialized in drafting, design, and engineering practices
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Preferred experience in the garment/ residential furniture, automotive or marine seating systems
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form

Physical Demands
- Primarily working indoors, office environment
- May sit for several hours at a time
- Prolonged exposure to computer screens
- Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work
This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend work is also necessary on occasion.

No travel is expected for this position.
