About the role

As a Survey CAD Technician at Atwell, you will work on diverse projects with various sizes, scopes, and details in a flexible work environment with a fantastic culture and national presence. We seek Survey Technicians interested in becoming subject matter experts in land development, renewable energy, and construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a valuable resource for design staff, guiding drafting practices and procedures.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete assignments, ensuring alignment with Atwell's standards.
  • Generate various project-specific drawings, including ALTA, Final Plats, Maps of Dedication, construction layouts, and construction staking.
  • Review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions, considering legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
  • Edit and modify plans responsibly in line with revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients.
  • Maintain open communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders regarding workflow status to meet chargeability goals.

Requirements

  • Previous AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
  • Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) preferred.
  • High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, boundaries, and construction staking.
