Cable Technician I

Description

• Low voltage experience
• Fiber knowledge
• Fiber troubleshooting
• Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and other devices
• Build closets (mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic, and hardware)
• Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cable as required
• Complete all IDC connections (e.g., terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels)
• Work inside and outside building out data centers
• Pull wire and/or oversee and direct conduit installations and wire pulling
• Operate tools/equipment normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $22.00/hr. Individual compensation depends on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
