This is a Contract to Hire position based in Baton Rouge, LA. The anticipated application deadline is Sep 2, 2026.
About the Role
We are looking for hardworking individuals to work inside and outside buildings, outfitting data centers with network infrastructure. The shift is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Terminate Cat6 and fiber optic cables.
- Layout and install wireway, bus duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and other devices.
- Build closets, including mounting and installing backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic hardware, and related equipment.
- Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cable as required.
- Complete all IDC connections (e.g., terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).
- Pull wire and/or oversee and direct conduit installations and wire pulling.
- Operate tools and equipment requiring the use of two hands (e.g., cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jackhammers).
Requirements
- Must possess and be proficient with the required tools.
- Proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
- Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
- Experience with network equipment, Cat6 termination, and fiber optics.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
