Cable Technician
About the role
The UPS Technician is responsible for managing and performing the maintenance and repair of all critical power equipment within the assigned region. This individual teams with other Service Engineers and multiple cross-functional departments to achieve the optimal functioning level for the company. This individual will also conduct training with the in-house Field Service team along with service customers.
Responsibilities
- Timely maintenance and repairs of all critical power equipment to ensure full operability 24/7.
- Performs commissioning-focused design reviews, prepares commissioning test procedures and reports, coordinates and oversees on-site testing.
- Prioritizes and completes work order requests to Service; oversees each job is performed at a high level of skill and with optimal customer service.
- Discusses with technical support, problems related to maintenance or operation of equipment.
- Establishes and maintains key business relationships with a diverse network of vendors around the region.
- Perform scheduled training courses with customers and service technicians.
- Leads, trains, and guides direct reports and ensures the appropriate resources are available to perform job tasks.
- Affirms and recommends solutions to improve operability of Facility Services processes and programs.
- Ensures excellent customer service internally and externally to address complaints and resolve problems.
- Led the development of Methods of Procedures (MOPs) and Scopes of Work (SOW).
- Perform basic operation training with customers in a classroom setting.
- When not involved in scheduled preventive maintenance, emergency response, equipment start-up and/or field modification, UPS Technicians will occasionally train at the company's main office testing equipment or rebuilding older systems.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
