Cable Technician
About the role
This role supports the installation and maintenance of infrastructure for communication systems, including voice, data, and related network services. The position involves hands-on work in a physically active environment and requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and test communication cabling and network infrastructure
- Set up and configure communication equipment and establish system connectivity
- Verify system performance by testing circuits, connections, and equipment; identify and resolve or escalate issues as needed
- Label, organize, and document installed cables and network components
- Troubleshoot and repair connectivity or equipment-related issues
- Rout and secure cabling through various building structures, including ceilings, floors, conduits, and equipment spaces
- Support the setup and organization of equipment and communication rooms
- Install and maintain cable support systems and pathways
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and safety standards
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Basic familiarity with computers or mobile devices
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Troy, MI.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
