About the Role
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales process. Work directly with clients, through phone and email correspondence, to facilitate sales. Guide customers through cabinet options, layouts, and product selections. Build relationships through a consultative, service-focused approach. Close sales by confidently recommending solutions that meet customer needs and budget. Follow up consistently on leads, quotes, and open opportunities. Service closed jobs by assisting customers with assembly and replacements remotely. Create a positive experience for clients by providing support and encouragement.
Responsibilities
- Design & Product Guidance:
- Assist customers with cabinet layouts, styles, finishes, and features.
- Provide basic design input and ensure selections are functional and aligned with project goals.
- Accurately translate customer needs into quotes and orders.
- Collaborate with design/production teams as needed to ensure feasibility.
- Project Coordination:
- Manage projects from initial consultation through order placement.
- Ensure all details, measurements, and specifications are accurate.
- Communicate timelines, expectations, and next steps clearly to customers.
- Proactively address issues or changes during the sales process.
- Primary focus and objectives are to generate closes by:
- Improving conversions from “tire kickers” to “Quotes Won.”
- Executing time and cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborating with the design department to improve the process and experience.
- Working with the President, or his assignee, to develop and implement new strategic initiatives.
- Performance & Accountability:
- Track and manage pipeline activity (leads, quotes, closed sales).
- Maintain organized and up-to-date customer records.
- Continuously improve product knowledge and sales skills.
- Foster professional relationships with co-workers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Uphold Cabinet Joint’s vision, core values, and mission statement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of sales experience (preferably in cabinets, kitchens, home improvement, or similar).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and guide customers through decision-making.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
