About the role
CLA is looking to hire a Chief Financial Officer - Nonprofit for our Consulting & Outsourcing practice who can sit in our Bellevue, WA office.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement best practices related to the services provided to add value to the client.
- Work with the client to set financial policy and be an active participant in, and driver of, the overall strategy.
- Drive capital planning, risk management, ratio and KPI analysis, and board of director interactions.
- Lead financial administration, planning, and budgeting.
- Oversee longer-term budget planning and cost management.
- Monitor progress of budgets and present operational metrics.
- Develop key external business network to grow the CAAS practice.
- Be known as a CAAS (when applicable, in a specific industry) thought leader both within the firm and externally.
- Manage internal and external referrals through use of firm customer relationship management software.
- Interact and coordinate with internal client relationship leaders to grow CAAS services with existing CLA clients seamlessly.
- Lead proposal writing, and presentation efforts as needed.
Requirements
- Eight years relative accounting and/or financial experience is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Nonprofit industry experience is highly preferred!
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred.
- Prior project management and client management experience preferred but not required.
Qualifications

Pay
The compensation range for this position in Washington is: $123,000.00 - $236,000.00
