CAAS Chief Financial Officer - Professional Service Organizations

Job Summary

CLA is seeking a Chief Financial Officer with Professional Service experience for its growing CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) in Nashville, TN or King of Prussia, PA. The role involves driving business development, building relationships, and assisting the practice with talent infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFO functions as part of the client’s accounting services team.
• Identify and implement best practices related to services provided to add value to the client.
• Work with clients to set financial policy and participate in and drive the overall strategy.
• Drive capital planning, risk management, ratio and KPI analysis, and board of director interactions.
• Lead financial administration, planning, and budgeting.
• Oversee longer-term budget planning and cost management.
• Maintain financial record systems in accordance with appropriate principles and monitor the use of funds.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting, directing financial accounting.
• Cookordination audit activities.
• Build strong client relationships and become a key member of the client management team.
• Develop key external business networks and become a service and industry thought leader.

Requirements

• Experience: 8+ years in an accounting or finance role, specializing in professional services industry.
• Knowledge: General knowledge of accounting software, working knowledge of QuickBooks, Intacct, and Bill.com preferred.
• Experience: Proven record of business development and team management through growth.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required (in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field preferred), CPA not required but highly preferred.
