About the role
We are seeking a C/S Dental Hygienist to contribute to community oral health initiatives. This role involves providing clinical oral hygiene services, conducting initial mouth screenings, and offering preventive oral health education. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering dental prophylaxis, scaling, sealant application, fluoride application, x-rays, and dental impressions.
- Conducting oral cancer screenings and maintaining patient documentation.
- Recording patient-hygienist transactions accurately in electronic dental records.
- Engaging with diverse populations and providing virtual oral health education.
- Assisting dentists with treatments and performing independent procedures within legal guidelines.
- Maintaining sterilization protocols and keeping up-to-date with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Essential Functions
Key duties include:
- Providing clinical oral hygiene services as outlined.
- Conducting initial mouth screenings and checking oral health histories.
- Maintaining patient documentation and electronic dental records.
- Recording patient-hygienist transactions accurately.
- Offering preventative oral health education to patients.
- Assisting dentists with treatments and performing independent procedures.
- Maintaining sterilization protocols and MSDS logs.
Job Requirements
- Possession of a Delaware Dental Hygienist License or eligibility for a Delaware license.
- Valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked, or cancelled).
