Bystronic Laser Operator

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform machine setup including program retrieval, gas selection, nozzle installation, and material handling.
• Operate laser cutting machines to produce parts that meet customer quality standards.
• Start up and safely shut down machines as required.
• Diagnose and correct machine issues during operations.
• Operate lift trucks to load and unload materials as necessary.
• Use calipers and other hand tools to measure and inspect parts.
• Maintain quality control by monitoring cutting conditions and making adjustments as needed.
• Enter production quantities into the ERP system.

Requirements

• Good computer skills.
• Three to five years of experience with Bystronic Laser machines.
• Three to five years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and product specifications.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with calipers and hand tools.
• Knowledge of machine operation and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

Pay

Pay range: $18 - $25/hour based on experience.

Schedule

1st shift: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.
