Laser Operator

Responsibilities

• Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers to ensure smooth transitions between production runs.
• Operate laser equipment to ensure it runs efficiently and produces quality output consistently.
• Maintain quality standards by conducting first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Complete production control charts and analyze recordings to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Make necessary equipment adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Train others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures.
• Maintain machine operation by solving production process problems, making equipment adjustments, reporting production and quality data, and referring questions to the supervisor.
• Maintain production operations by following policies and procedures for equipment, raw and in-process materials, and finished goods; reporting needed changes.
• Ensure operation of equipment by following preventative maintenance policies and procedures; reporting needed changes and repairs.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results through cooperation with team members and acceptance of re-assignments as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, routers, and other production documentation.
• Proficiency in basic math and measurements, including the use of hand-held measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to operate laser equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all relevant safety protocols.
