Laser Operator

PD is looking for a quality and safety-oriented Laser Operator that works in an efficient manner to ensure smooth workflow throughout the shop. This role is critical to ensuring precision, efficiency, and consistency across production, while maintaining a clean, organized, and high-performing shop environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, operates with a strong sense of accountability, and brings a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC laser equipment
• Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards
• Inspect parts and document accuracy to meet all required criteria
• Perform routine equipment maintenance as recommended
• Support production needs across departments as required
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment
• Follows all safety and workplace policies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (prefer 2-year technical/business degree or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years’ experience operating Laser cutting equipment
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Excellent blueprint reading capabilities
• Excellent shop math skills
• Ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines
• Ability to demonstrate and apply workplace values
• Flexibility to travel between multiple PD locations
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment
• Welding skills a plus

Pay

$25.00 - $35.00 / Hourly
