About the role

You will secure quality parts and services through bidding, negotiation, and supplier management to keep manufacturing lines running on schedule. This contract assignment covers September through December 2026 and is an onsite, first-shift role (7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday) with a 5x8 days schedule.

Responsibilities

• Identify manufacturing needs and select suppliers that meet quality, service, and value requirements
• Initiate and manage purchase orders and delivery logistics for parts, equipment, and materials of limited scope and complexity
• Conduct bidding and negotiate terms to obtain the best price and conditions
• Use purchasing and materials systems (e.g., EDI or MRP) and standard business applications to process transactions
• Analyze data and financial reports to inform procurement decisions and resolve supplier or order issues
• Prioritize assignments and work with general direction to meet production timelines

Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant purchasing/procurement experience
• Aerospace industry experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Knowledge of purchasing and negotiation methods, procurement-related legal/regulatory requirements, and basic continuous improvement concepts
• Ability to use purchasing/materials systems (e.g., EDI or MRP) and standard business software
• Strong analytical skills, including ability to read and interpret financial reports and calculate discounts/percentages
• Effective negotiation and communication skills

Qualifications

• Certificate in Purchasing Management (CPM) preferred

Pay

$46.91 - $58.64/hour

Schedule

7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday (5x8 days schedule)
