Butter Supervisor

Full-time, on-site position located in West Springfield, MA, USA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of the butter operation at the West Springfield facility.
• Assist the Master Scheduler in preparing work schedules to achieve production goals.
• Initiate, support, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on effectiveness and efficiencies.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members; provide guidance to trainees and coworkers.
• Maintain an adequately trained workforce.
• Supervise all butter team employees.
• Work with the Production Manager to ensure all products meet regulatory and customer specifications.
• Support daily maintenance and laboratory functions to meet production and quality goals.
• Prioritize safety in all duties.
• Work additional hours over 40 per week; participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required.

Requirements

• College degree or experience in manufacturing; dairy manufacturing preferred.
• 3-5 years of related experience and/or training.
• Solid knowledge of SQF, HACCP, and GMPs.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisor experience in a food manufacturing environment or a combination of education and related work experience.

Pay

$70,000 to $85,000 USD per year. The final offer may vary based on skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
