Busser - Stable Café - Reserve

About the role

Reserve: a position working an average of 20 hours per week (anywhere between 40–999 hours per year).

Pay

$16.32 – $20/hour or more based on business volume and including tips.

Responsibilities

• Provide water service during all meals and bread and butter service at dinner.
• Reset tables and stock all items needed for resets during the shift.
• Assist in maintaining the dining room, side stations, kitchen service areas, dish breakdown area, and service equipment.
• Assist servers to help provide an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
• Replenish table items, anticipate and address guest needs, and clear the dining area according to restaurant procedures.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all service procedures, established standards, company, and departmental policies.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
• Replace soiled table linens, clean tables, and set tables with silverware and glassware.
• Maintain table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling water glasses.
• Be alert to guest spills or other special needs.
• Close the dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables, sweeping and/or vacuuming floors, and removing trash and recyclables.
• Provide general assistance and support for leadership, the department, and the company as required.

Schedule

Schedules can vary, but are generally 10 am–4:30 pm January–October and between 10 am–10 pm November and December. Weekends are required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar position is strongly preferred, particularly in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
• Commitment to delivering world-class guest service internally and externally and the ability to work successfully as part of a dynamic, guest-service-oriented team.
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to perform essential job functions with speed and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to be proactive and take initiative as appropriate.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and exercise good judgment.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, carry, push, and pull 25–50 pounds.
• Lift and carry 25–50 pounds on a large serving tray, above shoulder level, with one hand.
• Endure various physical movements throughout work areas and over the duration of the work shift.
• Work in environments that may include variable temperature conditions and noise levels, outdoor environments, and exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals.
