Business Transaction Attorney (Entry-Level Associate)

About the role

Sussman Shank LLP is seeking a 2025 or 2026 law school graduate for a full-time associate position in our Business Practice Group, to start immediately in our Portland office. The candidate must be licensed or pending licensure in the State of Oregon and interested in developing a business transactional practice.

Opportunities

This position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of business transactions, including:

• Mergers & acquisitions
• Entity formations and general corporate matters
• Real property leases, easements, and purchase and sale transactions
• Real and personal property-based financing
• Distribution and services contracts and other commercial matters
• Technology and Licensing contracts, trademark and copyright matters, NDAs

Responsibilities

• Assisting with complex transactions
• Drafting clear and effective legal documents
• Communicating with clients

Qualifications

• 2025 or 2026 law school graduate
• Licensed or pending licensure in the State of Oregon
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
