Business Transactions Attorney (Associate)

About the role

Robinson+Cole, a Vault “Top Ranked” Am Law 200 Firm, seeks an associate to join its Business Transactions Practice Group in its New York, Stamford, Hartford, Providence or Boston offices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients across industries to handle a diverse array of corporate, financial, and strategic matters.
• Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings (debt and equity), joint ventures, corporate governance, and complex commercial agreements.

Requirements

• Three to six years of experience drafting and negotiating transaction documents relating to mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, and general corporate matters.
• Experience with acquisition financing is helpful but not required.
• Work well as part of a team and enjoy a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

• Top academic and transactional credentials.
• Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.

Benefits

• Target base salary range: $195,000 to $217,500.
• Compensation package includes medical, dental, paid vacation, paid sick days, a 401(k) plan, and a variety of other benefits.

Pay

The target base salary range for this position is $195,000 to $217,500. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's prior experience, class year, skills, qualifications, and office location.

Schedule

R+C attorneys are asked to work in the office a minimum of 2-3 days per week to benefit from in-person connection and collaboration.
