Business Transactions Attorney (Associate)
About the role
Robinson+Cole, a Vault “Top Ranked” Am Law 200 Firm, seeks an associate to join its Business Transactions Practice Group in its New York, Stamford, Hartford, Providence or Boston offices.
Responsibilities
- Partner with clients across industries to handle a diverse array of corporate, financial, and strategic matters.
- Advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings (debt and equity), joint ventures, corporate governance, and complex commercial agreements.
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents relating to mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, and general corporate matters.
- Experience with acquisition financing is helpful but not required.
- Work well as part of a team and enjoy a fast-paced work environment.
Requirements
- Three to six years of experience drafting and negotiating transaction documents relating to mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, and general corporate matters.
- Admission in the state of the primary office location.
Qualifications
- Top academic and transactional credentials.
- Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
Benefits
- Base salary range: $195,000 to $217,500.

Pay
The target base salary range for this position is $195,000 to $217,500. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's prior experience, class year, skills, qualifications, and office location.
Schedule
Our attorneys are asked to work in the office a minimum of 2-3 days per week to benefit from in-person connection and collaboration.
