Business Systems Manager

About the role

This pivotal role is responsible for leading the development, integration, and modernization of internal tools that support data center project delivery. The Business Systems Manager oversees, optimizes, and supports all enterprise business systems used across Professional Services.

Responsibilities

• Meet with business leaders to gather process requirements.
• Document current-state and future-state workflows.
• Translate operational needs into system configurations or enhancements.
• Write functional requirement documents (FRDs) and user stories.
• Validate data accuracy and reporting logic.
• Conduct root cause analysis on system or process issues.
• Lead internal system initiatives from planning through implementation.
• Develop project plans for system upgrades, integrations, or new implementations.
• Define scope, timeline, milestones, and deliverables.
• Care for internal system configuration, security, and optimization.
• Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls.
• Oversee sandbox environments and testing.
• Manage system updates and release notes.
• Maintain integrations between ERP, and Data Center project systems.
• Monitor system performance and adoption metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• 5 – 10+ years of experience managing business systems in a construction, manufacturing, IT Consulting or project-based environment.
• Experience with construction ERP and project management platforms (e.g., Procore, Sage Intacct).
• Experience leading system implementations, integrations or major upgrades.
• Technical Skills: ERP administration and configuration, System integrations (APIs, middleware tools), Dashboards and Reporting tools (Excel advanced), Workflow automation, Data analytics and dashboard development, Understanding full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Understanding of Agile methodologies, sprint planning, requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and cross-functional collaboration between business and technical teams.
