About the role

The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) and Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) are seeking a Business Systems Administrator (Management Analyst 3) to support and enhance the agency's Enterprise Management System (EMS) and related business applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upkeep of EMS and related agency systems.
  • Maintain system documentation, operational records, and support procedures.
  • Gather business requirements and document needs, translate operational issues, and coordinate testing and system releases.
  • Ensure data integrity, structure, standards, and operational data quality within EMS and related systems.
  • Manage support requests, provide frontline operational support, and coordinate business systems issue resolution with users, vendors, and technical partners.
  • Cook up data validation, cleanup, reconciliation, and correction efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, workflows, and system adoption.
  • Support user onboarding, systems navigation, training, and communication related to system updates and changes.

Requirements

  • Skilled at translating business needs into clear system solutions.
  • Experienced at working with business systems, process improvement, data quality, or operational support.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field, and experience equal to three years of full-time work in project management; management analysis; data science; business systems analysis; or professional-level program administration, development, or operations.
  • Three years of full-time work experience in project management; management analysis; data science; business systems analysis; or professional-level program administration, development, or operations.
  • A total of four years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.
  • One year of full-time work experience in project management; management analysis; data science; business systems analysis; or professional-level program administration, development, or operations.
  • A total of four years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.
  • A total of two years of graduate-level education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where twenty-four semester hours of accredited graduate college or university coursework in business administration, industrial management, statistics, natural science, or a closely-related field equals one year of full-time experience.
  • Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes six months of full-time work as a Management Analyst 2 or two and a half years as a Management Analyst 1.

Pay

This position is classified by the State of Iowa as a Management Analyst 3 and is exempt per FLSA regulations.
