About the Role
Georgia-Pacific Manufacturing IT is seeking a Capital Project Integrator to support SMACDE initiatives: Startup, Move, Acquisition, Closure/Curtailment, Divestiture, and Expansion. In this role, you will partner with Site Technology Leaders, subject matter experts, IT teams, third-party vendors, and business partners to translate business outcomes into clear scope, coordinate delivery across workstreams, and help ensure successful project execution from intake through closeout.
This role is based at our Atlanta, GA HQ located on Peachtree St. The expectation is 3 days in the office per week (hybrid).
Our Team
The SMACDE Team serves as the service owner for GP facility and M&A transaction projects across segments and divisions. The team works in a fast-moving, highly confidential environment and partners across GPIT, business teams, capability teams, and delivery partners to enable effective project delivery and long-term manufacturing success.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with project stakeholders to align scope, deliverables, timelines, risks, and business impact, including translating IT topics into business language for senior leaders
- Review and validate solution designs, drive workstreams to completion, and challenge standards when appropriate to improve project outcomes
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline delivery across the GPIT project landscape
- Create and maintain project documentation, team documentation, playbooks, and templates that support consistent execution
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to challenge and improve team strategies in alignment with overall IT value
- Provide day-to-day leadership for project team members, including coaching, addressing delivery gaps, and enabling accountability across the team
- Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks, remove obstacles, and drive timely decisions throughout the project lifecycle
- Align engineering teams and third-party vendors to IT outcomes, standards, and delivery commitments
Requirements
- Experience communicating with senior or executive-level business leaders
- Experience managing multiple IT infrastructure, systems, manufacturing, construction, or facility-related projects end-to-end in a fast-paced environment
- Experience translating business outcomes into IT requirements, project scope, deliverables, risks, and milestones
- Experience creating or maintaining project documentation, team documentation, playbooks, templates, procurement items, financials, or other administrative project deliverables
- Willing and able to travel approximately 25%, with occasional travel up to 50%, and support occasional night or weekend project needs
- Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
Qualifications
What Will Put You Ahead:
- Experience leading on-site project teams and third-party vendors
- Experience supporting M&A transactions, greenfield projects, facility startups, facility closures, curtailments, divestitures, or expansions
- Experience using Enterprise Work Management tools or demand management processes
- Experience supporting remote manufacturing, sales office, or warehouse facilities
- Experience with a broad range of IT infrastructure, technology platforms, and systems
