BUSINESS SUPPORT SPECIALIST II
About the role
This position assists a Business Manager in Arts and Science to provide centralized fiscal, payroll, and timekeeping support to primarily the Departments of English, Philosophy, and Sociology. This position will collaborate with departments chairs and faculty.
Responsibilities
- Process routine fiscal transactions such as reimbursements, purchases, and correcting entries.
- Support payroll and timekeeping processing through monitoring submission and approval of timesheets, reviewing payable time and assisting with payroll actions and corrections.
- Process routine personnel appointment and pay actions like assisting with ePAFs and additional pay actions.
- Ensure monthly automated financial reports are sent to faculty (e.g., Professional Development funds, Faculty Start-Up, Endowment/Gift funds, etc) and answer questions.
- Perform standard reconciliation activities such as completing checklists, review reports and resolving routine discrepancies.
Schedule
This position is generally Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Qualifications
- An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.
Pay
Salary Range: $17.40 - $23.37 per hour
Other information
- This is an in-person role located on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus.
- Candidates must reside in the state of Missouri or be willing to relocate prior to the hire date.
