Business Support Specialist - Digital Banking

About the role

NewtekBank, N.A., a subsidiary of NewtekOne®, is seeking a Business Support Specialist - Digital Banking to join their team. This role is essential for facilitating a smooth banking experience for business clients through various Digital Banking contact channels.

Responsibilities

• Foster business deposit growth and ensure client satisfaction.
• Proficient in banking products and services, including online banking and mobile applications.
• Execute and manage the end-to-end business deposit account opening and onboarding process.
• Train business clients and sub-users on the digital banking platform and features.
• Interact with clients via phone, secure message, chat, and video chats to address banking inquiries and provide assistance.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to payment transactions.
• Collaborate with the Digital Operations team to implement and maintain treasury management services and ensure digital banking functionality.
• Proficient in digital account opening software, including Apiture and Fiserv products.
• Maintain knowledge of other NewtekOne business line products and identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Assist clients with navigating and utilizing the online banking platform and mobile app.
• Provide troubleshooting and first-level online banking support, escalating issues as necessary.
• Work closely with internal teams to resolve payment-related inquiries and issues.
• Aid in onboarding and training new team members.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and exercise good judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Willingness to assist in cross-team projects and initiatives.
• 2+ years of experience in the banking industry, focused on business banking, deposit and payments operations, digital banking, customer service, or business development.
• Bilingual proficiency preferred.

• College degree from a two-year or four-year program with a concentration in business or accounting preferred.

Benefits

Competitive salary range: $55,000 - $67,000 annually.

Schedule

This role requires availability between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST in the Wilmington, NC office with flexibility to work alternate weekends as needed.
