Business Strategy Advisor, Transformation Enablement
Job Profile Summary
The Business Strategy Advisor plays a critical role in developing and executing transformation enablement strategies for the FedEx Data & Technology (D&T) organization. This role supports strategy articulation, embeds change practices, and mobilizes leaders to execute within a complex, enterprise-level digital transformation.
Essential Functions
- Plans, organizes, and develops analyses / assessments grounded in deep understanding of the business, industry and market trends, consumer behavior, customer segments, and competitive strategy.
- Predicts changes in the current market and summarizes insights from proprietary and third-party data and information to create distinctive insights.
- Develops and implements business analyses, manages business case development, and business-at-risk assessments.
- Develops strategic frameworks and manages processes to build business scenarios.
- Provides a point of view on key strategic issues across major dimensions of the business – competitive activity, operations, customer segments, technology, etc.
- Manages ongoing discussions with peer partners in other internal work groups including peers in international regions on identified priorities supported with clear fact-based recommendations.
- Participates in cross-functional meetings and provides insight/guidance to peers/managers/directors in partner teams.
- Interfaces with areas across the enterprise to discuss changes impacted by strategic recommendations.
Additional Essential Functions
- Drive Transformational Change: Lead forward-thinking change management strategies that drive cultural alignment, positive mindset shifts, and enthusiastic stakeholder adoption in support of long-term organizational transformation.
- Enable Change Governance: Support governance decision-making around change priorities, manage alignment across forums, and translate leadership decisions into operationalized change narratives.
- Track & Measure Adoption: Define and operationalize change adoption metrics, leader engagement dashboards, and transformation outcome tracking to provide leadership visibility into change effectiveness and course corrections.
- Shape the Narrative: Support change management methodologies to identify key strategic issues, using data sources to build a cohesive transformation narrative and a clear vision statement for Digital Transformation.
- Advise & Influence Strategy: Evaluate strategic objectives, formulate direction, and influence decision-making based on business trends, data analytics, and strategic frameworks.
- Culture Mobilization: Understand our enterprise culture values and map our digital transformation change journey to a more detailed and targeted change and culture plan supporting all levels of Data & Technology.
- Drive Leadership and Manager Alignment: Conduct leadership action planning to turn our leaders into change agents, who understand and communicate the need for change.

- Vision Translation: Experience working closely with leadership to translate their vision into effective strategic narratives, particularly the emotional case for change that turns understanding into belief and belief into action.
- Program Management: Provide operational program management for change implementation, sequencing culture activities, and managing dependencies across workstreams.
- Navigating Ambiguity: Demonstrated ability to successfully lead teams or projects through high ambiguity, driving a framework for delegation and accountability within a multi-year Digital Transformation.
- Inspiring Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to develop clear, memorable, and inspiring vision statements aligned to the transformation intent.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to build relationships across the core pillars of Digital Transformation.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the impact of technology trends, such as AI enablement at scale and technology modernization.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative business field or closely related technical specialized field of study.
- Five (5) years related work experience focused on Change Management and Communications, specifically enablement in strategy development, planning, and support of a technology organization.
- Six (6) years related work experience.
- Experience of supporting strategic assessments that are transformational in nature.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Demonstrated business acumen including understanding the impact of technology trends on business.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, problem structuring and problem-solving skills.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience in databases, business intelligence (BI) tools, MS Office products and data modeling.
- Strong human relations skills.
