Business Specialist
Federated Hermes is seeking a Business Specialist to support the operations, reporting, and administration of Non-40 Act Funds in a hybrid role based in Warrendale, PA.
About the role
This position is responsible for reviewing new accounts, account maintenance, and trading activity; reconciling and analyzing data; preparing reports for management and key stakeholders; and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the funds and their investors. The Business Specialist will partner with internal teams, service providers, and clients to resolve issues, support business processes, and help ensure operational accuracy and compliance.
Success in this position requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Business Specialist will analyze data, resolve discrepancies, support process improvements, and contribute to reporting and operational initiatives while ensuring accuracy and adherence to fund requirements. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with an interest in investment products and fund operations who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and collaborating across teams.
Responsibilities
- Review new accounts, account maintenance, and trading activity
- Reconcile and analyze data

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience required; degree in Business, Technology, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year of business experience required; 3+ years of business experience preferred
- General knowledge of the mutual fund industry preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; advanced proficiency preferred
- Familiarity with databases for reporting, analysis, and data management preferred
- Familiarity with data reconciliation and data analysis required
- Experience identifying process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and automation opportunities preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills required

Schedule
8:30 am – 5:00 pm (overtime as required)
