About the role
As a Business Services Manager, you will manage a team responsible for providing administrative support, process improvement initiatives, and programmatic support within the department. This role is part of the Administrative Services job function, focusing on operations, teams, job functions, and senior management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the training and development of staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
- Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines.
- Mentor and coach as needed.
- Act as liaison with business leaders, department managers, and other internal and external clients to forecast workload demand and project deliverables.
- Work with business leaders to resolve conflicting priorities.
- Identify, develop, and lead critical programs to enhance team success.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Influence parties of shared interests to reach agreements.
- Apply knowledge of your discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues, whether evident in existing systems and processes or not.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-7 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- 3-4 years of relevant program management experience.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills, including the ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
