Business Project Manager II

About the Role

The Project Manager is the primary single point of contact for large-scale deployments with significant complexity, unique requirements, or that qualify as a “Special.” This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the customer's implementation needs to meet scope, timing, and budget expectations, ensuring overall project success. The Project Manager participates in and leads the completion of complex solutions to meet customer needs, adhering to PMO criteria and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and manage implementation activities for highly complex projects/programs for external/internal customers, ensuring timely project completion and delivery.
• Create and analyze work plans and schedules, and develop resource requirements and allocation.
• Develop project progress and status reports for stakeholders.
• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including developing and distributing timely meeting minutes, tracking and managing action items, and verifying deliverables are met on time.
• Assess and manage risk, impacts, and potential alternatives, escalating as required to the appropriate level of management.
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and clients in parallel within a time-sensitive environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and vendors, utilizing a consultative approach to maintain strong working relationships across multiple departments.
• Conduct meetings with stakeholders to determine objectives and execute deliverables.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to other team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of related experience.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with experience in project management/coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Excel (ability to sort, filter, calculate formulas, link worksheets, and use keystroke shortcuts).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate project details to internal and external teams/vendors.
• Self-motivated with experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic telecommunications technical knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to use and apply business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Implementation experience with fiber installation, OSP/ISP construction, collocation build, and/or transport/wave fiber testing.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
