About the role

The Business Process Engineer will collaborate with the Government to assess current operations and business processes through examination of the organization's mission, strategic goals, and customer needs. They will analyze activities starting at the strategic level and progressing through the stakeholder organization to ensure alignment with operational objectives. The role involves facilitating Business Process Reengineering efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness across organizational functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining and documenting a capability delivery roadmap that details functionality and sequencing from Initial Operating Capability through Final Operating Capability.
  • Absorb and document configuration requirements, business rules, functional requirements, and system requirements.
  • Leverage industry best practices to plan, organize, and guide complex programs using Commercial Off-the-Shelf tools.
  • Engage stakeholders to fully define processes, business rules, and relationships that drive operations.
  • Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training, and other forms of knowledge transfer, and serve as a key coordinator among multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts.
  • Absorb and document data modeling requirements, including system data generated internally and data sourced externally from legacy Systems of Record.
  • Make recommendations for Standard Operating Procedures across multiple organizations throughout the Government enterprise.
  • Apply process improvement and re-engineering methodologies to conduct process modernization projects, including performing activity and data modeling, developing modern business methods, identifying best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.
  • Conduct Business Process Engineering activities and utilize process improvement methodologies for Commercial Off-the-Shelf integration programs.

Requirements

  • Ability to assist in defining and documenting a capability delivery roadmap.

  • Capable of leveraging industry best practices to plan, organize, and guide complex programs using Commercial Off-the-Shelf tools.
  • Ability to provide group facilitation, interviewing, training, and other forms of knowledge transfer, and serve as a key coordinator among multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts.
  • Ability to assist in defining and documenting data modeling requirements, including system data generated internally and data sourced externally from legacy Systems of Record.
  • Ability to make recommendations for Standard Operating Procedures across multiple organizations throughout the Government enterprise.
  • Ability to apply process improvement and re-engineering methodologies to conduct process modernization projects, including performing activity and data modeling, developing modern business methods, identifying best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.
  • At least ten years of experience conducting Business Process Engineering activities and five years of experience utilizing process improvement methodologies for Commercial Off-the-Shelf integration programs, or fourteen years of Business Process Engineering experience and five years of process improvement experience if no bachelor’s degree is held.
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Security, a business discipline, or equivalent from an accredited college or university, or four additional years of Business Process Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
