- Advise IT teams on best practices for configuring Epic’s patient access modules (Cadence, Prelude, Referrals, Welcome, and RTE) and Cheers functionality. Complete in-system configuration/build as needed.
- Partner closely with clients’ revenue cycle, digital/patient experience, compliance, IT, and clinical teams. Act as a liaison between operational and technical stakeholders.
- Develop and/or monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across patient access and digital engagement. Recommend ongoing improvements and system enhancements using tools like Clarity, Caboodle, and Reporting Workbench.
- Guide and support testing efforts (unit, integrated, user acceptance testing, etc.) for patient access and digital engagement solutions.
- Ensure workflows support accurate data capture for demographics, insurance, referrals, and patient communications to maintain clean claims and compliant outreach practices.
- Develop and manage project plans, resolve issues, facilitate change management, and present updates to leadership.
- Create concise, client-ready communications with clear storylines and actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a patient access leadership role.
- Experience with Epic Cheers functionality (implementation, optimization, and certification strongly preferred).
- Certification in Cadence and Cheers required. Additional Epic patient access certifications preferred.
- In-depth understanding of patient scheduling and registration workflows, front-end revenue cycle and financial clearance processes, healthcare compliance, and patient experience considerations.

- Ability to bridge technical configuration with operational needs.
- Demonstrated ability to drive organizational KPIs and communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
