Business Operations Coordinator II (Part-Time)

About the role
The Business Operations Coordinator II (Part-Time) will perform transactional activities to support finance, operational, and administrative functions. This includes budget monitoring, daily finance transactions, managing local vendor relationships, Human Resources, Information Technology, and running records/reports. The role also involves leading system user training for business applications, providing operations backup support, and offering guidance to volunteers. This is a part-time (20 hours per week), hybrid position based in Arcadia, with occasional travel to other chapter offices in the region.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative budget support, including expense coding, financial report dissemination, analyzing monthly forecasting of expenses, and ensuring programs are executed within budget in collaboration with department leaders.
- Coordinate and train volunteers to assist with less complex daily transactional work.
- Serve as the lead system user/trainer for Business Applications and IT Services, troubleshooting phone and computer issues for the Region and assisting with tech service requests.
- Maintain insurance certificate applications, financial collection processes, and appropriate forms and codes for regulated items, including alcohol, to support meeting planning.
- Provide guidance and data for grant reports and respond to internal/external requests for information and/or documentation.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute a regional Standard Operating Procedures Manual to ensure consistent processes/procedures related to operations functions throughout the Region.
- Perform all duties in compliance with standard operating procedures and applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Public Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of financial or facilities administrative support experience in community organizations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, business, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Ability to work on a team and plan, prioritize, and organize work to maximize team performance and meet customer expectations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain collaborative work relationships within the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Proficient with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Travel is required throughout the Region, with some travel outside of the Region.

Physical Requirements
Physical requirements are typical of an office environment. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. The role may include sitting for long periods, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.

Pay
The salary range for this position in California is $22.10–$23.50 per hour. Salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location where the work is primarily performed and may vary based on skills, experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
Schedule
This is a part-time role requiring 20 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule that includes reporting to the Arcadia office 2 days per week.
