About the role
This part-time, onsite position supports the Division of Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgery by assisting with operational and financial needs, including insurance verification, marketing efforts, and analyzing referring physician patterns for increased outreach opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the point of contact for all Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH) patients.
- Oversees business development for adult cardiac services, including outreach tasks to increase physician referrals, network integrity, referral capture, social media, and marketing initiatives.
- Manages the insurance process for the Division of Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgery, including verification of consults, studies, and surgical approvals.
- Drafts, organizes, and sends letters to referring physicians.
- Manages faculty credentialing, reappointments, and license renewals.
- Reviews and ensures budget control by managing faculty CME, travel, and Concur expense reports.
- Assists the Division Administrator with budget development.
- Takes inventory of clinic supplies and orders supplies as needed.
- Ensures Division Faculty ongoing research protocols are kept up to date through training and re-credentialing.
- Coordinates meetings, events, retreats, and other functions.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Insurance verification and referral experience.
