About the role
The Business Operations Analyst will support the operational and compliance foundation of SemiAnalysis, a leading authority in AI and semiconductors. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in law, consulting, or finance who can apply their legal expertise in a broader business context.
Responsibilities
- Support the review, organization, and tracking of contracts, agreements, and vendor documentation; coordinate with external counsel as needed.
- Track regulatory filings, state registrations, and corporate obligations across entities; ensure documentation is complete, organized, and up to date.
- Assist in managing day-to-day business operations across finance, HR, and administrative workflows.
- Support invoice processing, vendor onboarding, expense tracking, and coordination with accounting and payroll providers.
- Create and maintain SOPs, internal policies, and structured workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
- Support initiatives across recruiting, finance, consulting, and research operations.
- Maintain internal trackers and dashboards for contracts, compliance deadlines, and operational metrics.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in legal, consulting, finance, or business operations roles.
- Background in law or legal-adjacent work (e.g., paralegal experience, legal internships, law school coursework, or LSAT track) is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Political Science, Pre-Law, or a related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage structured processes with high accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to track multiple deadlines and workflows.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with contracts, compliance workflows, or legal documentation.
- Familiarity with corporate filings, entity management, or regulatory requirements.
- Exposure to financial operations such as budgeting, expense tracking, or vendor payments.
- Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
- Gain exposure to strategic business operations, supporting leadership in decision-making across finance, legal, and organizational scaling.
