About the role
The Labor Commissioner's Office is a dynamic unit within the State Agency dedicated to combating wage theft and ensuring workers' earned wages are rightfully theirs. The Analyst II position plays a crucial role in supporting supervisors and managers by handling various contract-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Supports supervisors and managers by managing existing contracts for the division.
- Makes recommendations and collaborates with the department’s Business Services and Accounting teams.
- Collaborates with LCO staff responsible for procuring goods and services and processing related invoices for DIR, DLSE Headquarters Administration Unit.

Qualifications
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must accompany the application. Resumes and/or cover letters do not take the place of the SOQ. The SOQ should be no more than 1 page in length, with no more than three grammatical or spelling errors, and must be in paragraph format, addressing the specific question. Responses that do not express relevant experience will not be considered for an interview.
Skills

Pay
The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The Analyst II position is full-time and works primarily in a climate-controlled office setting, possibly in a high-rise building, utilizing computer screens and other office equipment. Light travel may be required.
Working Conditions
This position will be filled in one of two locations: Oakland or Los Angeles. The incumbent is required to work extensively on the computer as necessary for email communication, research, and other purposes.
