About the Role
As a Business Officer 1 at Rockland Psychiatric Center, you will perform, coordinate, and oversee business, fiscal, and support service activities.
Responsibilities

- An associate's degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
- A bachelor’s degree can substitute for 4 years of experience.
- A master’s degree in a related field can substitute for 5 years of experience.
- A doctorate in a related field can substitute for 6 years of experience.
- Business Officer Trainee 1 (NY HELPS): 4 years of professional experience in the administration of a business office or program, including responsibility for one or more of the following: accounting, budgeting, contract administration, and purchasing.
- An associate's degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
- A bachelor’s degree can substitute for 4 years of experience.
- A master’s degree in a related field can substitute for 5 years of experience.
- A doctorate in a related field can substitute for 6 years of experience.
To advance to Business Officer 1, you must complete a 2-year traineeship.
- Business Officer Trainee 2 (NY HELPS): 5 years of professional experience in the administration of a business office or program, including responsibility for one or more of the following: accounting, budgeting, contract administration, and purchasing.
- An associate's degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
- A bachelor’s degree can substitute for 4 years of experience.
- A master’s degree in a related field can substitute for 5 years of experience.
- A doctorate in a related field can substitute for 6 years of experience.
To advance to Business Officer 1, you must complete 1 year of the traineeship.
- Competitive Class Appointment (PCO eligible list): Appointment as a Business Officer Trainee 1, with advancement to Business Officer 1 after a 2-year traineeship.
- Competitive Class Appointment (PATT eligible list): Appointment as a Business Officer Trainee 1, with advancement to Business Officer 1 after a 2-year traineeship.
- Transfer Eligibility (State Service): One year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

- Business Officer Trainee 2: $59,994
- Business Officer 1: $66,951 - $85,138
This position is eligible for a downstate adjustment of $4,000.
