About the role
We are seeking a Business Office Manager (BOM) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in healthcare billing, preferably in long-term care environments, and supervisory experience. They should have a strong background in Medicare/HMO billing and be able to understand and implement healthcare reimbursement, billing, and accounting principles. A bachelor's or associate's degree in business or accounting is preferred, along with knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and relevant laws and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Ensure systems of internal control are in place and operating satisfactorily to safeguard facility assets.
- Maximize cash flow and meet company accounts receivable targets.
- Act as a financial liaison between corporate departments and other staff (accounting, reimbursement, etc.), supporting effective audit and compliance efforts.
Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience in healthcare billing, preferably in long-term care environment.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience leading the Business Office with strong Medicare/HMO billing expertise.
- Ability to understand and implement healthcare reimbursement, billing, and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and relevant laws and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate degree from an accredited college with specialization in business or accounting.
- Nice to have public notary certification.
