ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid in implementing the accounting department's daily functions.
- Implement and standardize accounting procedures.
- Forward invoices for approval and communicate with suppliers.
- Maintain files of charge slips and monitor accounts receivable.
- Prepare and report on monthly financial statements.
- Mail statements and make reports to the Accountant.
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare trial balances.
- Assist in preparing financial and statistical reports.
- Operate computers and process data as needed.
- Create and utilize computer reports.
- Serve as a liaison between residents and the accounting department.
- Manage resident admission contracts and provide financial updates.
- Participate in planning and implementing changes to the accounting system.
- Perform secretarial tasks as necessary.
- Attend and participate in relevant training programs.
- Ensure confidentiality of resident care information.
- Report and prevent unauthorized disclosures of sensitive information.
- Support the maintenance of resident rights and ensure fair treatment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Experience with Medicaid and Medicare.
