ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aid in implementing the accounting department's daily functions.
  • Implement and standardize accounting procedures.
  • Forward invoices for approval and communicate with suppliers.
  • Maintain files of charge slips and monitor accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and report on monthly financial statements.
  • Mail statements and make reports to the Accountant.
  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare trial balances.
  • Assist in preparing financial and statistical reports.
  • Operate computers and process data as needed.
  • Create and utilize computer reports.
  • Serve as a liaison between residents and the accounting department.
  • Manage resident admission contracts and provide financial updates.
  • Participate in planning and implementing changes to the accounting system.
  • Perform secretarial tasks as necessary.
  • Attend and participate in relevant training programs.
  • Ensure confidentiality of resident care information.
  • Report and prevent unauthorized disclosures of sensitive information.
  • Support the maintenance of resident rights and ensure fair treatment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Experience with Medicaid and Medicare.
