About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain administrative activities in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, established policies and procedures, and as directed by your supervisor, to assure proper administrative procedures are upheld.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and follow schedules/instructions from your supervisor and established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in organizing, planning, and directing administrative activities in alignment with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain minutes of meetings and handle filing as necessary.
  • Serve as a key representative of the community, contributing to community relations, public regard, and overall awareness.
  • Support the Administrator, Director of Nursing (DON), and Business Office Manager in administrative tasks.
  • Perform clerical and accounting functions, such as cash receipts and ancillary data; may assist with HR and payroll duties.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with inter-department personnel and other facility departments.
  • Assist in recording all incidents/accidents and file them according to established policies.
  • Assist in administrative studies and projects as assigned or necessary.
  • Ensure administrative personnel follow ergonomics policies and procedures to prevent work-related injuries.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of office supplies and equipment for daily operational needs.
  • Agree not to disclose residents' protected health information and report suspected or known violations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information.
  • May assist in evacuating residents during emergency situations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Proficiency in applying mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and handle concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of clerical functions and computer literacy; proficiency in Excel preferred.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute and use a 10-key calculator.
  • Knowledge of office machines and equipment.

Physical Demands

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Prolonged use of desktop or laptop computers.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, read, or hear.
  • Frequent use of office equipment such as copiers, scanners, fax machines, telephones, and calculators.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically low to moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Pay

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour.
