Position Details
Position: Business Office Assistant / Medical Biller
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Location: Los Gatos, CA
Pay: $25.00–$35.00 + HR (DOE)

Essential Responsibilities
- Process and manage Medi-Cal for a Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Aid with accounts receivable, payment posting, collections, and claim follow-up.
- Maintain resident trust accounts and reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Ensure accurate billing documentation and compliance with Medi-Cal facility policies.
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist residents and family members with billing inquiries.
- Maintain resident financial records, census reports, and business office documentation.
- Order office supplies, process incoming and outgoing mail, and provide administrative support to the Business Office Manager.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Billing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
- Working knowledge of Medi-Cal and HMO.
- Experience with accounts receivable and collections.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Experience using billing software and electronic medical records, preferably PointClickCare.
- Adequate organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent professional communication and customer service skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
- Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience working in long-term care or post-acute healthcare settings.
