About the role
We are seeking a Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Paris Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health. Our mission is to prioritize your well-being so you can provide exceptional care to others.
Responsibilities
- Provides front office support duties including obtaining referrals and pre-certifications, collecting co-pays, and missing patient data.
- Schedules appointments, codes fee slips, and maintains equipment and medical supplies.
- Maintains examination areas and performs administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Reviews provider orders, obtains informed consent for invasive procedures, and schedules referral appointments.
- Maintains patient information in the computer system and assists in the completion of "end of day balancing/closing" and deposit preparations for courier pickup.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of infection control policies and assists in maintaining office supply inventory.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.
