Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary financial and business advisor for assigned public school clients, providing strategic guidance and operational support.
- Lead accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll oversight, grant management, and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff while managing multiple client engagements and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, problem-solving, and business partnership.
- Oversee business office operations, establish effective financial controls, and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Support organizational growth by ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and successful implementation of business support strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- Experience in school finance, school business operations, public sector accounting, or a supervisory accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and grant management.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, along with experience using cloud-based business applications and accounting systems.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and client relationship management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
