About the role
Corning Bendable Glass (CBG) is a strategic growth platform within Corning’s Gorilla Glass business, enabling next-generation device form factors for the world’s leading OEMs. As Business Manager, you will own the commercial success and scaling of the Bendable Glass product line, setting customer and product strategy, driving execution from development through ramp, and translating breakthrough technology into sustained revenue and profit.
This role has end-to-end ownership of the business, deep engagement with global customers, and direct responsibility for product direction, pricing, investment decisions, and overall P&L performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Bendable Glass product lines, with full accountability for commercial strategy, execution, and results
- Deliver product line plans clearly articulating the market environment, competitive position, differentiation strategy, technology roadmap, manufacturing capabilities, and financial outcomes
- Set customer and product strategy, including product line planning, roadmaps, and design-in wins at strategic OEMs in partnership with account teams
- Drive product development, launch, and scale-up, collaborating with research, development, engineering, manufacturing, and account teams
- Own commercial execution, including pricing strategy, quoting, customer negotiations, and P&L performance in consultation with cross-functional roles
- Interface directly with global customers and account teams across Asia and the U.S. to accelerate market adoption
- Oversee financials, governance, legal, and supply chain workstreams to ensure disciplined execution
- Track critical milestones, drive cost improvement initiatives, and product line performance
- Communicate clearly and effectively with senior leadership and key stakeholders on progress, risks, and opportunities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, including assistant product line managers, through coaching and mentorship
- Represent at industry events and conferences, influencing customers and partners at all levels
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- Significant experience in commercial and product management roles; materials, glass, or high-tech manufacturing preferred
- Demonstrated success leading product development and commercialization programs
- Experience managing global customers and cross-regional teams
- Exposure to strategic agreements/partnerships and contracts is a plus
- International experience strongly preferred
