Business Intel Analyst III

About the role

The Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research and the National Cancer Institute at Frederick provide comprehensive professional EHS services to employees working in general offices, industrial shops, experimental research laboratories, and animal care environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of EHS systems, projects, and programs.
• Analyze and manage system data associated with business and operational systems.
• Manage assigned systems from cradle to grave ensuring compliance with required governance requirements.
• Complete project tasks within defined timeframes.
• Serve as the liaison between the EHS Applications team, project team members, EHS program staff, and the end customer.
• Act as a project manager for assigned projects.
• Analyze complex business problems and recommend solutions using systems and data.
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets.
• Construct forecasts, recommendations, and tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
• Develop and implement process based on system capability and business need.
• Resolve project or system conflicts or issues in a timely and systematic manner.
• Prepare and report on system and project data upon request or as defined within the project.
• Design, develop and deliver training for EHS programs.
• Communicate project and/or system status or issues to the appropriate parties for timely resolution.
• Complete and/or oversee the data collection, preparation, input, and monitoring for assigned projects.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in a related field (qualifying related experience (4 years) may be substituted for the required education).
• Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
• In addition to the education requirement a minimum of five (5) years of related administration and or project management experience is required.
• Knowledge of application configurations and workflows.
• Ability to understand and apply government regulations, departmental standard operating procedures, and program/project management experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, on technical matters.
• Ability to use MS Office applications at an advanced level.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Ability to work independently or in team settings.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make qualified decisions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

• Previous experience with Cority, Cornerstone, or similar Learning Management System (LMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms.

Pay

The posted pay range for this job is $79,300.00 - $116,630.00 USD. The salary range posted is a full-time equivalent salary and will vary depending on scheduled hours for part time positions.
