About the role

The Business Analyst Senior provides analysis and business support that may include work in any combination of the following: business and decision analytics, financial planning and management, budget, procurement, general business operations, facilities management, staff supervision, performance improvement initiatives, and/or information technology coordination in collaboration with administration, nursing, and/or medical staff. This role identifies issues related to existing programs and recommends effective, timely solutions, ensuring compliance with applicable governmental rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides expert data analysis and decision support services to facilitate results and outcomes.
  • Develops detailed design specifications, applications, dashboards, and analytical reports.
  • Develops cost-benefit analysis to determine the validity of business needs and requests.
  • Performs complex analysis including reviewing multiple data sets, correlating factors, and data relationships to support research and business decisions.
  • Develops methodologies and models to assist with growth opportunity assessments, impact assessments, support pro formas and financial modeling, data validation, and business case development.
  • Conducts project planning, analysis, research, and execution for data infrastructure.
  • Manages data and analytics projects, including gathering data, prioritizing requirements, and ensuring project deliverables are achieved.
  • Provides oversight of projects, facilitates project meetings, and collaborates with business stakeholders on project goals and objectives.
  • Leads meetings with business stakeholders to gather information, develop priorities and work plans, and identify goals and objectives of organization projects or initiatives.
  • Collaborates with analysts and business stakeholders to create data solutions based on clinical needs, regulatory requirements, business initiatives, or other project deliverables.
  • Facilitates data governance activities with key business stakeholders to outline objectives, define sources, standardize metrics and definitions.
  • Conducts exploratory market and competitive assessments and projections for new and expanded services.
  • Supports the enterprise data architecture, data management standards, and governance structure using technology.
  • Collaborates with leadership to identify, analyze, and explore business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Accounting, Human Resources, or other job-related program from an accredited program, or equivalent combination of related experience and education.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a healthcare business setting, or minimum of four (4) years in finance, IT, HR, or accounting.
  • Experience in data/information analysis, with strong financial and critical thinking skills.
  • Previous experience with compensation, payroll, contracts, business administration, process improvement, data analytics, and/or regulation compliance.
  • Advanced level of experience with spreadsheets, databases, and report-writing software.
  • Able to conduct analysis and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • May lead and have oversight for a team.
  • May require working early/late hours or weekends.
  • May require infrequent day or overnight travel.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or job-related program from an accredited program.
  • Seven (7) years of work experience in an academic medical center/hospital/physician practice or other healthcare setting.
  • Compensation experience in a healthcare organization.
  • Previous supervisory work experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Previous experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR), preferably Cerner.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting less than 20 lbs.

  • Repetitive motion: Keyboard, Mouse.
  • Strong recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, logical thinking.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and adapt to frequent change in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

Compensation Range: $62,420.80 - $96,740.80. Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
