About the role
An entry-level Business Immigration Paralegal opportunity in the Columbia, SC office of Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest law firms in the United States with 60 offices throughout North America and Europe. The firm’s immigration practice group works with domestic and international corporations to develop strategies for the international transfer of skilled employees.
Under attorney supervision, the immigration paralegal prepares and files petitions and visa applications, compiles and analyzes case facts, drafts correspondence, maintains and organizes client documentation, and communicates directly with multiple attorneys.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and file petitions and visa applications.
- Compile and analyze case facts.
- Draft correspondence.
- Maintain and organize client documentation.
- Communicate directly with multiple attorneys.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
- Strong writing skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work independently toward team goals.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Strong proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, INSZoom, and document management systems.
